LITURGY OF THE WORD
CALL TO WORSHIP
We acknowledge that God himself calls us to worship him, and that we are gathered in his presence.
SONGS OF ADORATION AND THANKSGIVING
We sing songs that extol God’s grace and truth, and encourage our love and faith.
A time to prepare our hearts and make ourselves fully present to God.
PROPHECY
As fallible vessels, we receive, test, and share God’s revelation intended to edify the church and signify our future hope.
CONFESSION OF SIN
God’s holiness exposes our corporate and individual sins; God’s kindness enjoins our honest and willing confession of them.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
God declares from his Word and through his Church that all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are forgiven of their sins.
PASSING OF THE PEACE
We remind each other of the peace given to us in Christ, that by being reconciled to God our Father, we are reconciled to one another as brothers and sisters. (We take a short break at this point of the service to dismiss children to children’s ministry.)
PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
We invoke the Holy Spirit to illuminate and apply God’s Word to our hearts in the reading and preaching of Scripture.
SCRIPTURE READING AND SERMON
God addresses his people through the reading and preaching of his Word to edify believers and exhort unbelievers to make sense of, much of, and use of, the good news of Jesus Christ.
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
We intercede before God on behalf of our church, our neighborhood and city, other gospel-centered churches, and the nations.

LITURGY OF THE TABLE
INVITATION
Christ presides over the table and invites his people – baptized members in good standing of a local church that proclaims the gospel – to partake in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.
COMMEMORATION
We rehearse Christ’s words of institution and remember the atoning death and resurrection of Christ.
CONSECRATION
We pray for the consecration of the bread and grape juice by the Holy Spirit, so that as we partake physically in faith, we might partake spiritually in the body and blood of Christ.
COMMUNION
As we partake in the body and blood of Christ, we acknowledge that we, the Church, are together the body and blood of Christ.
OFFERING
All that we have comes from God, and we gratefully give back to him a portion of what he has generously given.
COMMISSION AND BENEDICTION
The members of the body of Christ are sent into the world with God’s blessing to love God, one another, and share the love of Christ with others.
